2012 Season

Gentlemen-

The 2012 season is just around the corner. There are a few announcements:

1. The divisions were re-aligned as some teams folded. There are now only 4 divisions in the Grey Conference. North, South, East and West. Each team division has 6 teams (except for the South who only have 4) We are now in the North Division. Check under the “About” “Team” section for our new division info.

2. Our 2012 schedule is up under the schedule section. It’s not 100% final as more games may be added and game times/dates may be adjusted.

3. We’ll have a tryout scrimmage sometime in the Fall (late November) to secure a roster so we can get our gear orders in and and schedule some scrimmages before the season starts to work out the kinks and shake of the rust.

4. Last but not least, the Cedar Lane Turf field (with lights) will be our new home field for all home games. Awesome.

If you know anyone who is interested in trying out for the 2012 squad tell them to e-mail us @ mainstreetlax@gmail.com with their name and what position, so we can get a head count for how many new guys we’ll need to pick up. There are a few guys who are not returning this year so we do have some open spots, spread the word.

Stay tuned for the tryout date. In the mean time get your shit together for the 2012 season!

2011 Summer Ball

WE WILL BE PLAYING IN 2 SUMMER LEAGUES THIS YEAR. (click the name of each summer league for more info and sign-ups.)

1. Harford Summer League

  • Sundays @ 3pm or 5pm
  • Fox Meadows Rec Complex
  • $75 per player
  • Registration is due by June 7th, Games start on June 19th
  • 10 base players (1G, 3D, 3M, 3A) draft the rest of the team
  • Monday & Wednesday Nights @ 6pm – 9pm (games vary)
  • Loch Raven Academy
  • $80 per player before May 15th or $100 per player after May 15th
  • Games start June 1st and end on July 13th
  • This league allows us to enter our whole team and all stay together (max = 30 players, we can invite other people to play with us as well)

Please send us an e-mail, call or text and let us know what you plan to do. You can play in both leagues, just one or none…it’s up to you.

If you know of people that want to play just let us know about them as well.

We will need to know your decision by Sunday May 1st (our next ALL home game). If you don’t know by then or tell us by that date than we will not include your for summer ball.

Our next game is a divisional AWAY game vs. Nobles on Sunday, April 17th @ 12pm

Our next game is another divisional game at our new home field at Cedar Lane Sports Complex.

Below is the address and a map of the complex so you know where to go. We’ll be wearing white, get there around 1pm to warm up. We’re also taking a team picture for the Tower on Sunday so let’s try and get everyone to come out Sunday.

  • If you want to carpool with some people we will meet at the Park and Ride at Exit 74 (Mountain Road -152) around 2:00pm to head down to the game.

Update: Sun March 6th

Gents,

Our game this Sunday March 6th vs. Hagerstown Bud Light has been moved to 1 pm @ The Arena Club (grass).

As of right now the game will be played and we are going to play through the rain. They have been calling for nasty weather on Sunday so if anything changes we will let you know immediately.

DO NOT TEXT/CALL/E-MAIL us about the game. We will notify you with the status of the game.

As for now, plan to be there on Sunday around 12 pm to get your jersey and warm-up. For now wear white shorts until our game shorts arrive.

Important Season Info

The 2011 spring MSTLC final roster has been posted under the Roster section.

Here are the things you need to do ASAP and have done by Saturday February 26th

1. Re-new or sign up for a US Lacrosse number (save your number and the expiration date)

2. Even if you already gave me one, Please download and fill out a 2011 Order Form

3. Put your USL number info, your completed 2011 gear order form and money into an envelope with your name on it (if you’re paying via PayPal your $ is still due by 2/26/11)

It is MANDATORY for you to show up on Saturday Feb 26th for the Season Kick-Off Party

  • Bring your envelope with all the stuff in it with you
  • Bring $30 CASH for you and your plus one (if you don’t bring a plus one you still owe $30 and if you are a no show then you will still owe $30 unless you have work or an emergency arises)
  • We’ll have music, beer pong, flip cup, cornhole and an All-You-Can-Eat buffet
  • Please get there around 7:00 – 7:15pm so we can collect your stuff
  • Dinner/MSTLC only from 7:30-9:30pm then its open from 9:30pm until close
  • Attire is casual, nothing too fancy but don’t look like a slob

Our game on Sunday Feb 27th is going to be re-scheduled due to the weather. With that being said we can get extra rowdy on Saturday.

Lastly, this post is going on facebook, e-mail and a mass text. No excuses as to why you can’t any of this done. You have plenty of time and all the information and links to everything you need to do. If you don’t get this done then you will not play. You are all responsible adults and capable of getting this done on time and showing up to the Season Kick-Off Party with all of your money and paperwork completed.
